Melissa Mccoy 

MS-III, University of Minnesota Medical School

Melissa is a 3rd year M.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Her background is in biochemistry, but her current path is focused on global health and social medicine education. She is currently spending time in Cameroon, dedicating time to improving radiology services in a district hospital. In October she will be traveling to Uganda to assist in the delivery of a social medicine education course and conduct research in the diagnostics of cryptococcal meningitis. Outside of medicine, she enjoys practicing her French and Spanish, hiking the nearest mountain, and planning her next adventure.
