Daniel Fisher

MD/PhD Feinberg School of Medicine

Daniel is a graduate of the University of Texas’s Plan II Honors program with concentrations in Biology and Philosophy. Before beginning his MD/PhD training at Northwestern University, Daniel published numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of neuropsychiatric disease. He is currently in the graduate school phase of his training where he is researching the molecular control of neuronal excitability in Major Depressive Disorder and Epilepsy in the laboratory of Dr. Dane Chetkovich MD PhD.  Following his medical and graduate training, Daniel hopes to be able to begin a career as a successful physician-scientist and contribute to the growing body of literature describing the complex interaction between genes, environment, and behavior.
